My numbers tell a story of precision.
2500 Applications with 2360 Rejections. 40 First rounds from which 4 final rounds. 1 OFFER.
Mistake #1: Starting my job hunt after my thesis ended. Late.
But when I started, I went ALL IN.
Sheffield, England. Minimum wage admin job. 40 hours weekly. Comfortable, but super unfulfilling.
I made the decision many would call crazy. I quit. No safety net. Just wanted to get a job in my field.
Mid-October. The hunt began.
My strategy was straight-forward:
Then it happened. On my graduation day. One day before my birthday. An offer. The BEST DAY OF MY LIFE.
Then comes the plot twist I never saw coming… Fast forward 10 months. London. That "dream job"? TOXIC.
Now the real challenge began. Finding a new role while surviving a high-pressure job.
I balanced:
No parties. No distractions. Just learning, applying and self-improvement.
One thing I’d tell you if you’re on a similar journey is: Don't customise your CV for every job. It's inefficient. Do it only for 2-3 jobs daily that seem made for you.
It's a numbers game once you've tackled the essentials.
After 5 rounds of interviews with my new company, the result: Amazing offer. 30% HIKE. Sponsorship.
I knew what I wanted and I was precise with my strategy.
A LinkedIn profile I took SERIOUSLY. A resume that STOOD OUT (thanks to Unimad's guidance). An Easy Apply strategy that ACTUALLY WORKED.
Make a plan. Stick to it. Trust the process.
